Día De Los Muertos came and went. As much as I wanted my brother to have celebrated with us. All of us. It didn’t happen. I hope everyone took the time to remember their ancestors and celebrated the good times we had with them. With that, I am proud to present the next 4 Anguiano Art Prints 1. Death of a mermaid - 8.5x11 print on 100lb matte White paper. The quote written for this piece “find inspiration in me, believe in my hope, and don’t forget me when I fall into Death’s arms” there’s no way for an artist to be forgotten as his paintings are spread around the world. The original was a water color sheet from one of his sketchbooks. 2. You are the ghost I can’t cover - otherwise known as Ghosted in the jpgs. Also 8.5x11 print on 100lb Matte White Paper. The original piece is oil painted on a 36x48 canvas. I couldn’t find much information behind this piece. Art can always take a different meaning for everyone. That’s what he always said. Some people can see ancestors in the ghosts and themselves as the person in the middle. Others will see something different! And that’s the beauty of art. There are no wrong answers as to what a painting might mean. 3. Death On a Donkey - 8.5x11 print on 100lb Matte White Paper. This was a piece he briefly posted in June last year. The original is also oil painted on a 36x48 canvas. Didn’t say much about it but it was definitely one of my favorite pieces from his 2020 paintings. They all were amazing, but this one captured my attention more. I don’t know if it was the color, the idea of death on a 2 headed donkey, or the representation of la muerte. But it was truly to me one of the best. Again there was no information gathered on this painting. I’ll leave it up to you guys to tell me what you see! 4. Princess of the Dead - 8.5x11 print on 100lb Matte White Paper. A 2015 piece by JC Anguiano with the hummingbird logo. Print Prices: $20 each or $60 for all, no frame included with these.
