“The Essence of Jane”, 24in x 30in on stretched canvas. the process for this painting was to first create a list of whatever popped into our heads. Then we chose a few items from that list and combined them. The items I chose were: labyrinth, paper objects, and flowers. I then made a sketch that you can swipe to see, the sketch was used as a guide but not something that had to be definite. My character evolved and became more of an illumination. I hope that everyone has a different interpretation for this piece and a big thanks to for posing for me in class to get this iconic pose!
